I've had this coin for over a week now and it has just stayed on the coffee table in my living room... I keep picking it up over and over again and have spent way too much time admiring it. It just tells a story that says "I sat somewhere still, dark, and undisturbed for a very long time." The luster really breaks through the heavy toning in hand but you can't really tell it from the photos, this is one of those coins that really come alive in hand. Under a loupe there are hardly any contact marks to speak of. There are deep colors of red, purple, orange, and green that become apparent when in the light. Just a lovely example of such a beautiful design. I am proud to have it in my collection! The Gettysburg is next!

    I wouldn’t kick that out.

    Vertigo Did someone say bust?

It's nice that it's pretty evenly toned over both sides. A lot of coins aren't.

That’s cool. I love it when I am blessed with a coin that I can’t stop looking at. Heck, that’s why we do this crazy hobby, ain’t it?
