When you are 7, you just can't help but to disassemble, display, and reassemble your type album from time to time. Here are my son's current type coins for your viewing pleasure.

Very nice! The 1824 large cent and the 1826 half dollar are my favorites.

    I'm jealous. That's a good type set.
I'm not seeing any gold though ;)

We we're just at the local coin shop and they had a 20 cent but they are just so darn expensive...we are operating on a 7 year old's budget here...

Then up his allowance! This IS the 21st century, ya know.

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

Very nice. I'm working on the same set with a couple of self-imposed rules. 1) no proofs, of anything, and 2) No 20th century coins below BU, and no 19th century below XF.

I expect it to be a slow process.

That first penny is a liberty cap no? Should be classic head which should be easier to source. Nice set! I'm working on one of those myself.

I'm working with the same exact rules, except I'd take a proof if I could afford it. I've also got some acquisition cost parameters, although I seem to break my own rule on that one if the coin is nice enough. I'm complete through the half dimes. New month budget starts in a few days and so my July coin will be the shield with rays, hopefully a better date.

The first coin pictured is a draped bust. He is missing the capped and the classic head.
You’ll also notice there are no half cents...yet.

I also have a seated half on the way from @CoinBreaux that will be an 8th birthday present for Henry in late September. It is the coin which was listed for sale the other day. It has ‘suffered’ a repair, but will make for a great type set piece. He will be very excited, I’m sure.

Your flying eagle is a snow 22 "reworked F in OF."

Is that a good thing? I'm unfamiliar with flying eagle varieties.

It's pretty rare, but the snow 22 gets very little love. Still, your coin goes from being a $20 coin to probably a $60 one.

Interestingly enough i have the same variety. Whenever i go to research it, i can never find anything on "Snow 22" online. Is there an online resource for Snow varieties?
