    A 1908 20$ gold eagle no motto MS65
    OR
A 1880/79 CC Morgan Vam-4 with 79 reverse MS61 with looks like end roll toning, only the reverse is toned. 20210929_134741.jpg Screenshot_20210929-150759_NGC.jpg

The Morgan is nice. Looks like a GSA holder which is pretty cool.

Without pictures of the gold, I will decline on commenting further. Personally, I'd love some gold but that's just because I don't own any.

Always wanted a $20 Gold piece . If you've owned one before than go for the Morgan . Beautiful coin and I never say that and Coin in the same sentence . :D
Can we see the Obverse @Wade Elliott ??

I have a couple Morgan's but not this variety or the toning alone.

Friday. Kinda where I'm leaning to, a value of 825$ for the morgan vs. 2800$ for the 1908.

Which definitely is an indication to lean the other way. $20.00 pieces in 65 are plentiful. The Morgan, not so much.
That $2,000.00 spread can do a lot of collection good.

True, there are 11k in ngc census MS 65. There are only 51 total in grade MS 61 for the Morgan.

I'm surprised that Morgan found it's way into an "uncirculated" GSA holder with that amount of toning.
I do like the fact that it's a VAM-4 Rev of '78. That is what my '80-CC is. Far less common than Rev of '79.

I thought the same with the marred obverse.

I agree, normally toning would get the coin placed the Mixed CC dollar group. And placed in a "Carson City Silver Dollar" holder.

The "Golden" Rule: 90% of the Grading story of a Morgan is the Obverse.
