He made a point to look at the end wall for the name of a guy from New York who he had known as a young man (late teens probably) who died on the Arizona, from what he said. I had not known until then that my dad had actually known someone who was lost on that date. Evidently there is a bridge to the island now, but when I was there, it was always the 50 ft small boat to take. I always remembered people being pretty respectful of it. Also, a little-known fact... On Ford Island, there is or was a depression in the ground of the medical building there, where a bomb was dropped but did not go off.[/QUOTE]
