I say leave it alone, or find a cheaper material like copper plated steel for the cents, or nickel plated steel for the nickels. I'm fairly certain doing that would make them profitable again. Since when has Canada doing something before us been a determining factor that we should do it also? LOL</p><p><br /></p><p>How about we increase the value of our money so that a cent or nickel could pay for itself instead rather than abolishing them because it's too costly to make them? McDonalds doesn't discontinue the cheeseburger because it costs too much to make, they raise the prices. event he post office raises prices when they need to, everyone does it.
