DDR? Multi strike? Or just MD?

    1994 washington quarter which has doubling on various parts but the most obvious is the stem and leaves on the right and a little on the left. Also doubling on letters and eagle but didnt take good pics of those... what do you think? MD? ... I never really understood the shelf like term with MD but it appears to be the same size as the rest if the devices.

    Suggestion - create these types of questions over at the Error Coins forum instead. First find out what you have. Value is the last concern.

    Think of it as you would a set of stairs with each riser being perpendicular to each step. If the die loosens from the constant pounding, the rapid back-and-forth vibrations cause it to shave off some of the device, thus creating the step. ~ Chris
