How is it that in most cases (that I have seen), typically on one word or part of same is DD? I do have a coin, somewhere, that most of the rev. is doubled but as is in this example of a 1976 P Eisenhower, only the word "UNITED" is well errored but nothing else. Is it that each word is stamped separately or what? Wed Apr 10 20-55-52.jpg Wed Apr 10 20-56-17.jpg

.....and then sometimes, I have one that is "UNITED" STATES OF AMER"ICA", where "xxxx" = DD

    Looks like Mechanical doubling.

A true Doubled Die is not a double stamp. Have you educated yourself in understanding the difference between a true Doubled Die variety and Mechanical doubling? There is also Die Deterioration doubling. Both are considered worthless doubling.

Here is some information - http://doubleddie.com/144801.html

That would be nice, but I can hardly see anything less than XL fonts. But good to know, thanks.

No, I haven't and as a beginner, I did not know there was such things. I shall look into that, thank you.
