Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

Looks like a couple different accounts have been doing the same, Lance. :(

And you can expect them to go a lot higher.

I posted this for one reason, to make a point about the idiots on ebay and just how many of them there are.

Agreed... that's a little strange in my book also.

You think fleabay is bad? My only local auctioneer is a swindler who drums up the rarity and value of every coin sold at his auction. I haven't see a morgan go for under 40$ anytime in 4 months, all of which are "au-bu" to him, which are really f-xf at best and mostly cleaned. They also just sold a lot of about 100 wheaties for over 50 bucks.... I could go on and on but I'm sure you guys get the gist of it. Worst of all, I'm fairly sure this auctioneer is cleaning/damaging damn near every coin that comes through him, he had some EXTREMELY rare (10,000$+) coins that he sold in "bu" condition to unsuspecting buyers , telling them they were worth a fortune, at premium prices that very obviously recently heavily polished.

P.S- I'm going to put him out of business in the next 5 years hopefully ;)

One more rant- why in the world would anyone pay 15-25$ for 10$ worth of post 1970 kennedy halves? Beats me but it happens every time.

Hey... take it easy there fishwhacker... the auctioneer appears to be doing his job; getting as much for the coin(s) as possible. The problem here is uneducated bidders driving up the prices. As far as the Kennedy halves... I regularly sell these three for two dollars at the local flea market. It's amazes me how many people have never even seen one. And Ikes are even an easier sell at three for five dollars. Then off to the bank to replenish my stock.

I understand trying to get top dollar for consigners. There's a fine line between getting premium prices, and intentionally misleading bidders and altering coins to make them seem like they are worth more to unsuspecting buyers. Yes, they are partly to blame for buying coins without full knowledge, but then again I guess I have stronger morals when it comes to giving people fair and honest deals. That is why I plan on opening an honest auction company. P.S- These guys charge a 17.5% buyers premium and charge sellers 30% to cosign with auctions every week, it's not like they need the money.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, this will be my last post regarding the issue.
