Mac, nice idea, I did something similar, bought mint proof sets of foreign coins for each of my kids on their birth year, ended up spending about the same ($250) for 2 mints sets per year. I got a real nice set of 2006 Ireland Mint Proofs already slabbed by PCGS (68-70) for a few bucks more than the unslabbed set was selling for at the time.
