    You're welcome @BrianS
If you want, showcase your journey of filling the album. I'd love to see it! Best of luck!

Shows that the true value of the coins is the plastic junk, not the coin itself...

Well here's my start on the 7070. Prior to this, I was kinda doing a type set with 2x2's and a binder. I'm going for the "details" kind of coins. Some of these were purchased before I knew better and might get replaced. centpage.jpg nics-dimes.jpg quarters-halfs.jpg dollarspage.jpg

I don't want to get into a slabbed vs unslabbed coin discussion but, personally, I disagree. I'll buy a slabbed coin online for security and 3rd party authentication but I have no problem cracking it out for a purpose that best suits my collection. I enjoy my 7070 and I'll get that album out and will look at those coins more than if it is just sealed up in a slab and stored away.

I believe each person should be able to decide for themselves. Look at all the pros and cons of cracking a holder, then make a decision that best suits your situation.

I was actually on the hunt for a trade dollar and that seller also had some seated dollars. I lost the bidding on the trade dollar, but won the Seated Dollar. Then I found another seller who had a Trade Dollar for a decent buy-it-now price.

Just discovered this thread, good stuff ddddd, I'll continue to check it out as you add to your 7070.
I filled a basic 20th century folder recently, it's funny your SBA looks identical to mine (except for the date (79)). I just find the SBA dollars extremely bland unless they are toned. Definitely my least favorite US coin.

A Valentine 3 The date more open and slightly lower the 1 and 8 don't touch....Rev. Both ends of ribbon touch the wreath.

Nickels (shield and 1913 type 1)
...the 1913 type 1 is the only straight graded holder that I have cracked (besides a PCI MS 60 Liberty Nickel). It would have been more expensive to sell the coin and buy another UNC example.

(not the best photo for the shield nickel, but it's nice for a cleaned coin)
