    It's a 19th & 20th century type book.

By definition? I did not know that. Thanks. That explains a lot.

Except it eliminates the 1800-1807 draped bust silvers. And much of the gold.

Not the draped bust ones. You are thinking capped bust.

I firmly believe this is the best way to do a 7070. Little to no risk taking those coins out of holders and keeps the cost significantly down. Like you mentioned too not all details coins are the same and some really do look better in an album that have small issues that a slab label would cause people to focus on.

Didn't realize they finally started releasing these again. Oh well, I'm already deep into my CAPS Type Set and I'm not going back because I'm stubborn.

Good luck with your "Treasure hunt" Question, is there an album that has been updated to hold newer designs like the shield cent for example?

Of course they come out with the new 7070 two months after I bought the old one. :banghead:

    Thank you!

The Whitman album has 20th and 21st century coins (but no 19th century).
Here is an example on Amazon (might not be the cheapest):

Unfortunately, I don't believe that there is a Dansco ranging from the 19th to 21st century. One could also create their own Dansco by buying blank pages (they make unmarked pages for cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, halfs, etc). Or you could buy a type set and add a blank page in the back with other coins that aren't included.

It happens to all of us. I have bought some silver coins right before a dip in spot prices (as I will detail in a future post).

Look at the bright side, you had a head start on completing the album! With the album going down in price and more people buying them, there may be more competition for type coins. You had an early start and potentially received some bargains on coin prices.

And here is page 3 with only one coin. This is one of my special coins since it came from a good collector friend!

Luckily I will be getting a full-time job relatively soon to pay for the type coins I still need.

The Seated Half has some toning and the cleaning isn't too bad.

Now you're just tugging at my heart strings with an O mint seated. Fantastic choice going with the O

Thank you! It really wasn't a hard choice since it was the only Seated Half that I had and it came from a collector friend.

And finally we have page 5. This one is nearly complete. Just the Susan B. Anthony is missing (I used to have a few but spent/redeemed them at the bank...Luckily I should not have too much trouble finding one now).

    *1976 Silver Proof Bicentennial Set (25c, 50c, & $1)
    *2000 Sacagawea
*Nevada State Quarter...one of my favorite designs!
    *1992 White House Silver Commemorative
    *1988 Silver Eagle
