I totaly agree with you, The odd thing is that they are not that popular and you can get old coins in high end grades for a very fair price. I will be uploading in ebay this week around 40 of them that I just bought yesterday. Some real nice samples. Nice coins you have there Siggi
Christian X (1912-1947). 2 kroner 1945, silver .800, weight - 15 g. Mintage - 157000. "King's 75th Birthday".
I like not only Danish coins, but Icelandic coins too (coins that minted when Iceland belonged to Denmark).
Have you checked out this site www.coinsoficeland.com it has some of the best coins from that time around.
Frederik IX (1947-1972). 2 kroner 1958, silver .800, weight - 15 g., mintage - 301000. "Princess Margrete's 18th Birthday".
Great coins! Very nice coins Siberian Man. I really like your silver wedding anniversary 2 Krone.... I just love the conjoined busts on the obverse. Great coin. I always especially liked the Danish coins from the late 1800's. I always liked that dolphin on the reverse of some. I have only a few examples, I will share with you. 1883 1 ore 1874 10 ore and....
Last one. Sorry but some of the photos of these next two coins are off-color, and have a greenish/yellowish tint to them, that is from the camera, not the coin. 1930 1 ore and an interesting regular old 1968 1 krone, but it looks a bit prooflike.... just a really nice unc. That is all for me. I have alot of more modern Danish coinage as well, but nothing fancy.
