Dude. That’s not a coin. Don’t ever listen to the person that sold that to you. MS 70 for a hunk of silver. 20 bucks

It says right on the label that it's a "token". And while you may not like it, there are plenty of others who do. Aren't you glad you don't have to bid against them? :)

It’s worth what someone is willing to pay. I think $500+ is a bit much...but someone didn’t. So that’s what it’s worth.

So what. This is a fantasy piece. Even if it had no label nobody should think it’s an authentic coin.

Imho, all the shade being thrown amounts to jealousy. Plain and simple.

    It's not that simple.
There are those that like collecting these.
There are those that feel they are bad for the hobby.
There are those that say nothing because they fear being attacked for having an opinion.
There are those that just don't give a damn.

All the above have the right to state an opinion without being insulted.
One of the rules here tell us to attack the coin and not the member.
    It's a good rule.

My opinion. If it looks like a real US coin and not stamped as a copy, it's a counterfeit. Calling them a token or fantasy coin won't change my opinion.

"Jealousy" implies that I want one and cannot buy one.

I CAN buy one, but do not want one.

    Plain and simple.

I implied nothing. You simply read into what you wanted. Maybe some are jealous of the artists ability. Maybe some are jealous that I made money on a piece of the artist work.
Guilty conscience says I. Otherwise why comment and continue to beat a dead horse?

Simple answer really. Like it or not, Mr. Carr is a viable numismatic subject. There are many seasoned numismatists here that have engaged in many many threads concerning his work. Nobody questions Mr. Carr’s artistic ability, however many have deeply rooted feelings on the nobility of his work. I mentioned early on, for this forum anyway the mere mention of Mr. Carr will elicit many varied replies. After all, it is a public forum and many of the long standing members simply have something to say..... You did well, congratulations. So just let it be.
