I've recently received a few mint proof sets 1994, 1994 silver, 1994, 1990, and 1995. what are some options I could do with them
Most of that stuff is beyond salvage truthfully. Proof Sets have an extremely small following and those that collect them insist on beautiful high quality coins. They are so plentiful that coins like the ones pictured have basically no demand. The 1994 silver proof set will always have value for the dime, quarter and half, but only as silver. I hope that wasn’t too brutal. I only meant it to be truthful.
send all but the silver into the wild and some future roll searcher can have a thrill finding an impaired proof....
And then they end up on Coin Talk !! asking us what they have !! lolol I had to turn my head and avert my eyes.
yes, and now that you've seen them, you can tell them exactly what they have an where they came from...
That is just painful to see. However if they were given to you I would say it was a kind gesture anyway.... I don't have anything useful to add to what has already been said above.
I totally agree it's very painful. Had a major flood here in baton rouge last year that's when the sets got ruined
