I would like to know metal composition for this coin because of the color variations and the "LIBERTY " stain. Thanks in advance for all replies
No one can tell the metal composition of a coin from looking at a photo . It looks like the cent has been cleaned with a sand blaster
The US Mint produced 1977 Lincoln cents composed of .950 copper and .050 tin & zinc. Your coin was probably coated with some silvery substance, a common school science experiment.
I have 1 more 1977,l think it's plated or coated with something, just want opinions on it. Thanks in advance for all replies
