Due to a 55 year hiatus, I was missing 1961-1964 Washingtons, so I bought those 8 Uncircs from MVCC rather than look for the rest of my life. Ready to take the last 20 rolls of Quarters back to the bank for another exchange - I put an "X" in the middle of the roll paper so the teller knows to not give me those back in exchange. Filled a few recent holes too. That left only one hole for circulation Quarters between 1940 and 2019, except for West Points, and I found that 1969-D, pretty decent shape, on the second-to-last roll. Attaching pics of two of the Quarters I found - one badly damaged and another with partial Rust. DamagedObv.JPG DamagedRev.JPG KansasRustObv.JPG KansasRustRev.JPG
I know the top one is still worth 25 cents.
Is the "Partial Rust" worth more than 25 cents, or is it just an oddity?

It's damaged and only worth face value.

The Kansas “IN GOD WE _RUST” quarter is just a minor filled error. However, people have been hyping it as something rare and desirable. Most error specialists see this for what it is, a minor error that doesn’t command much, if any premium. Your coin is only partially filled, so it's worth 25 cents. If you like it keep it, but unless you can find an inexperienced collector to pay extra for the hype, I wouldn’t expect to make anything by trying to sell it

Welcome to CT @AZSteve. Your first coin is one of the many rare coins from Road Warriors but most collectors won't acknowledge it as such. LOL Just kidding of course. Your almost RUST coin is as mentioned, NAV or No Added Value, so worth 25¢.

Thanx, Guys. The damaged one already went back to the bank, hidden in the middle of a roll. I will keep the lower one as my first for a collection of "oddities". I've got a couple of possible die clash quarters - or maybe just marginal plating. After I perfect my picture taking abilities I will submit those for an expert opinion. I know all y'all are full of it (expert opinions, that is )!
