Are you kidding. I was moderated for just posting a few random videos of the British Parliament to demonstrate how they actually show up, unlike the US Chambers.

The British Parliament has real people show up? Is that in contrast to the Scottish Parliament? Bubbles Bubbles Boils and Troubles.

    Now this is a Parliament!

It kind of comes down to this Christian - found in #8.

Now I know that some might say that it is impossible to discuss coins sometimes without mentioning politics since it is the politicians that make the decisions regarding coinage – and that is quite true. And since we have phrases like “In God We Trust” on our coins you could say that the discussion of religion is necessary in a way – and that is quite true. Therefore, it will be up to the sole discretion of the Coin Talk Administrators and Moderators as to what constitutes a permissible discussion on these subjects – period.

I hope no one was offended. i was admiring that in Europe people actually show up on debate rather than the dog and pony show that seems to exist in the US Congress, regardless of anyones political bend.

That painting has been maligned since it was created by Rembrandt. It hung in the Amsterdam town hall and then the town fathers, enraged at it, tore it down. It is odd that after 4 centuries that it still brings the same emotional response.

That painting has a political background. In the 17th century the ancient Batavi were considered the forefathers of the Dutch, and Rembrandt's work (Conspiracy of the Batavi under Civilis) tries to draw some parallels: Just as the Batavi fought against the Roman Empire, the Dutch as the "new Batavi" fought against Spain - and Willem van Oranje became the new Iulius (or Claudius) Civilis ...

I had something to say about coins but after reading the last two posts, it completely slipped my mind.
