That's awesome Brian! Are the horses in your collection as well? The Tang dynasty is very interesting as well. I've been working on fixing my substandard knowledge of east Asian history and it has been leading me down another rabbit hole of collecting interest!

Thank you also for your kind words!

@Alegandron has reminded me of how extremely rude I was in my initial post! Please allow me to make it up now.

PLEASE POST ANY COINS YOU THINK WILL GO NICELY WITH THIS THREAD!

lol I also noticed the... unique... features of the reverse. I thought it was kind of funny that this coin looks to have a very nice style (IMO) on most of the design features with the exception of the reverse's face. I think Mr. Genius looks a bit like Castor Oil from Popeye :)

Tang Horses: Yes, I had all 3 versions (those are not my pics, though). I gifted them, and one was broken in one of my many Corporate moves. I have none now (or maybe, I need to check my shelves). I want to find another for my office. LOL, at one time I was mesmerized by one made of Jade, approx a huge 1 meter tall, when I was in Hangzhou. One of my employees kept whispering to me: "you have a mortgage, you have kids in University, you have bills..." She saved me. LOL, it was hilarious, but YES, I was SERIOUSLY considering how I could buy it and have it shipped back to the States. It was awesome...

Do please bring me up to speed on "spacing dots", as I am clueless.

Spacing dots were used in the legends to, well, space it properly. Usually they are seen on dies when a great amount care is given to their engraving. At least that's my observation of this phenomena during the Flavian era. In other eras this may not apply!

This is an excellent example of how you don't have to be wealthy to afford interesting ancient coins!

I'm not sure which is your favorite of the bunch, @Curtisimo, but I'm partial to your Severina :)

Really great coins!! Cool Severina history and coin; had not heard that before! I will be looking for one of those for sure now! The Constantius I is very nice; IMO without his bold political and military plays Constantine I would have been footnote in history.

Thanks @TIF (nice to see you posting more lately :)). There really are so many fascinating coins in every price range. The real fun of owning for me is in the research and learning and not in the fiscal value!

Thanks guys! The Severina and the Constantius are proving to be popular among the group and I'm not surprised. I will also comment that the Constantius is really nice in hand because of its large diameter. Plus like you said @TJC he is just a fascinating guy!
