Here's another auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190244782705&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=009 I've confirmed with another EAC collector that it isn't a 1793 CBC and he agrees with me that it's probably a 1796 S-87 or 88 or 89, which was determined by the reverse and the reverse is also what determines it isn't a 1793. I've messaged the seller and the only reply has been to my question concerning the edge lettering and he says it is smooth and no edge lettering can be seen, but I knew there wasn't any edge lettering, since the 1796's don't have edge lettering. Also, just by looking at the pics of the coin, it isn't thick enough to be a edge lettered variety. It looks like he's going to go through with the auction and sell it to someone as a 1793 when I've given him all he needs to know it isn't a 1793. That isn't right! :( Ribbit :)
