Some years, I picked up a very nice used Lindner bank note album, which has wide sleeves (9.5"), both 2-up and 3-up. It's great for large size currency and other larger items I collect. I'd like to get a few more 3-up black pages, but since it's a German made product I'm not having any luck finding U.S. dealers who sell pages, so I can avoid a hefty shipping cost from Europe. Any ideas?
I realize this is an old thread, but just wanted to note for anyone interested that I am currently using 195 x 105mm Lindner 886LP sleeves. A larger holder is also available in size 213 x 152 mm - Model 888LP. (Other sizes are available overseas). Those two I am able to buy locally at around 35c USD each. Made in Germany, they are acid and chemical softener free. Not sure if they are classed as archival quality. Does anyone know? For storage I've been slipping these holders into FDC albums which may not be the best solution, but finding banknote albums in NZ is not an easy task. Shipping from US or Europe is an expensive exercise for bulky items. https://www.lindner-original.de/en/banknotes/protective-covers-sleeves
That's actually a very clever idea! And I would trust current polypropylene holders to be safely archival. They don't really sell the PVC sleeves anymore.
886LP. One point I just noticed is that on the packets it states - Acid and chemical softener free, however on Lindners website in states All protective sleeves are made from a crystal clear, acid - and chemical softener-free plastic film.
