Perhaps. I was mainly looking at the pages.

What do you guys think of this. This is a similar to what I was using before...but what I had before I'm not 100% sure was safe. Based on the info here...I think these are. Do you think this is safe and would work?

    Using these sleeves: http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/product/supersafe-currency-sleeves-200-series-large.html

and putting them in these pages: http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/polypropylene-3-pocket-currency-pages.html

I could use them for both small and large size currency and thus only need one set of supplies and everything is uniform.

If you use those pages, I would only put notes in them that are already in folders. I don't personally like the look of that, but they remark that these pages are far more floppy, and I would worry about them creasing or folding notes when handling. Still might, even in holders.

Tried & true - rice paper envelopes.

Are the lighthouse pages pretty stiff?

I don't think those holders would fit in those pages. The height may be alright but it may be to wide. Also those pages are offer virtually no protection, the Lighthouse brand although not really stiff either are a bit more rigid. Just remember if you do decide to put the holder in pages, you would need to buy the Grande series. The regular series would be to small to hold the currency holders.

The Lighthouse grande pages are what I call "just right" - stiff enough to hold notes, soft enough to care for them. They are firm but flexible - if that makes sense. I highly recommend them.

Will they fit into a normal binder?

The Grande ones are taller than normal binders - therefore you would want a Grande album.

Are the Lighthouse pages comparable to the Cowen's currency pages? I use them now, but if the Lighthouse pages are superior I might switch over since I'm hoping to start collecting "better" notes like U.S. large size types in the future.

Example of what I use now, which is sufficient for my purposes now but there is always room for improvement:

(Yes, I know they are made of vinyl. I just don't see the point of being overly cautious. We're talking paper, not highly reactive metal coins).

OK...then I guess that is what I should go with. What kind of sleeves do you put in them?

The Grande sleeves - 3 or 4 slots per page (or 2 if you want to hold two TPG holder per page).

I assume 3 slot for large size currency and 4 for small sized currency. Does lighthouse make a sleeve that fits inside these pages or do you get those from another company?

You will still need the 3 slot pages if you want to use holders along with the pages. Though you will probably end up using the large size holders for everything. The small holders will be loose in the slots and in the 4 slot pages it will stick out on the top.

You can also use a paper cutter to trim the sleeve to the size of the note, if that helps...

I have no problem using the 3 slot pages for everything...makes it simpler anyway (less stuff to deal with). I just want to know if there is a specific type/brand of sleeve that you guys recommend.

I recommended Denly's Mylar sleeves earlier in this thread.

    OK, I missed those. Thanks.

So, based on what I am seeing...the Denly's Mylar sleeves are very good. The large size note sleeves (which I assume can be used for small sized notes too, the sleeve will just be big) is 7.875"x3.5" while the 3 pocket Lightouse Grande pages pockets are 8.625"x3.875." So, the page pockets are quite a bit bigger. Will these pages hold the sleeves securely or will I have sleeves falling out of the pages?

Also, these are the products I'm talking about...just to make sure I'm looking at the right things.

Yep, those are the two products I'd buy, with of course a grande binder or two. The sleeves will be held acceptably, though you cannot shake the binder around upside-down and expect the notes to not slip out of place. Since I collect notes from all over the place, I've got three sizes of holders to use, and just pick out the smallest one that will hold the note in question. I don't know the sizes of US notes, but if there are two (large and small) I think I'd get two sizes of sleeves - the smaller ones will save a few bucks over using large ones when you don't need them.

OK, I think I'm going to go this route. Just to make sure I'm 100% clear...even though the currency sleeves are smaller than the pages slots...they still hold the sleeves firmly enough? I just don't want them sliding around. Also, I thought I saw someone saying that the 2 slot pages hold graded notes well...but I can't seem to find that reference. Is that the case?
