Thank you I was wondering because it kind of gave me a beat idea for an art piece but I think I am going to use slugs and not currency
While I concur with the "hammer and punch" opinions, I've also seen similarly damaged coins that were shot repeatedly with a BB gun, or some such.
Well now I am definitely gonna try it. I will set something up in the garage since it is 14 degrees outside.
That is what the scope is for. I realized that I do not have it dialed in for the short distance, took me a few shots to hit each of them. I hit the screws holding them probably 6 times. Colorado quarter weighs the standard 5.7g and the 1993 weighs 4.4. I have come to the conclusion that my rifle is pretty high powered. They took a beating.
That looked like a fun experiment….. I have a steel door on my woodshed and years ago I looked out back to see a Target taped up to that door and my boy standing in tbe yard with his air rifle shooting my door full of pockmarks.
These are the pellets. Made by Gamo .177 Since I have some free time, I am gonna wear some glass's and use my 45 pistol, and see what the damage is on the same coins, no air guns, just plain ole spring action BB guns. Stay tuned! Thanks for posting the thread @Shirley Long Welcome to CT!
