I think the coin should go into a new holder with current grading standards. At the same time I don't want a piece of numismatic history getting destroyed.

    Pro's or con's?

Pros- More Liquid in top tier plastic, view of the edge, a label that reflects the current market grade.

Cons- As you said, an old piece of TPG history, which displays the coin's provenance of being graded back in that time period.

I vote keep it in the original. The slab itself may add a premium.
But it depends on what you are focused on. Focused on the coin? Crossover
The Slab? Keep it how it is
You have to decide which is more important in this case.

Con - old ANACS soap bar slab inserts are chemically active and are accelerating that toning.

Don't you submit with your minimum grade that isn't higher than it's current grade? If it doesn't make it they send they coin back still in the slab? I thought I read that's how PCGS does it. Why would they QT a slab if it doesn't meet a minimum grade?

I’d try and cross it. But they’re brutal on straight grading toners

They don't accept ANACS slabs for that crossover service. All slabs other than PCGS or NGC are considered raw coins, and treated as such.

The website says they take Anacs.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the top service, the one in Florida, not those poseurs in California. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: I still am not seeing where you indicated PCGS - Perhaps Can Grade Somewhat.

Your right. I simply stated that if you didn't add a minimum it probably would.

See...send to PCGS then cross to NGC and hope for a star. There's a plan for my madness.

What? No stickers? There is no limit to how much you can spend on opinions of others.

Never Grades Correctly. Goes both ways. Subjective opinions.

It's got a light blue and yellow circular toning pattern. I'll get pro pics soon.

Oh this is the large eagle reverse? Mine are the boring old small eagle reverses.
