Even though I have twice refused to fill out and sign that insulting document they sent me, Stack's Bowers Galleries have decided to raise my bid limit from 1000 USD to 5000 USD.
This is up for auction: https://auctions.goldbergcoins.com/...catm=any&order=highest&xclosed=no&featured=no
Back to that topic! NOOOOOOOOO! It would not. I would be in heaven. There were 600 coins in Sincona auction that I would have loved to acquire/ alas I am poor/ so that never ever will happen. But I did get two.
Why even bother with auctions in that scenario then? Why not just buy all of the major coin auction houses and have them buy any coin that interests you directly from the seller and sent to you immediately? I bought one, and I am very happy with my purchase, even more so when I see the crazy prices many other coins at the auction went for.
I have put in a bid for this coin: https://live.spink.com/lots/view/4-...1-1769-gold-sixteenth-mohur-061g-sri-rajeshva I stand by what I wrote about not bidding for high value (meaning 4 figure) coins at the Spink auctions anymore because of their stupid invoices and the insane 25% VAT the customs here charge, and hopefully this coin won't go for more than its estimate.

Anyway, I am very happy with Istra Numizmatika, I paid them by bank transfer Monday morning, they shipped my Sultanate of Delhi Gold Tanka by the end of the day, and it arrived the following Monday and was well packaged, so I intend to participate in their future coin auctions, one thing to note (but that is only really relevant if you live in Croatia or Italy) is that even though Istra Numizmatika is registered in Umag, Croatia and their bank account is in a Croatian bank in Umag, Croatia, the coins get shipped from a town in north-eastern Italy called Castelfranco Veneto.
I have decided to put in a bid for a Roman Gold Aureus of one of the three Roman Emperors born in Croatia: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=7981&lot=207

I don't know if it is still available, but just in case the bid for the above coin isn't successful I will post this unsold lot here: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=7963&lot=597
I bought this Roman Gold Solidus of Valentinian I (one of the the 3 Roman Emperors born in what is now Croatia), minted in Thessalonica in 364:
Since VIA Numismatics have accepted my pre-bid for the first Diocletian Aureus I posted, that won't be an option either way for at least a week.
I am also bidding on a gold solidus of the third Roman Emperor born in what is now Croatia: https://auctions.cngcoins.com/lots/...tioch-mint-3rd-officina-struck-ad-364-good-vf
