Lets consider something all you nay sayers harp on in just about every post, atleast 1 person chimes in..No, I 99.99% will not find a million dollar holy grail. But open the PCGS pop report then go to their price guide, take a gather at auction prices in the Mega Red, look at what's going on in Heritage Auctions and Ebay. I dont know why you guys are such Debbie Downers! The market is out there. Coin collectors will spend.

I watched a Sotheby's auction where starting price on some goes for $30/40 thousand and more. What does that tell me? That humans will spend on their passions. That they crave to have bragging rights and be the envy of other collectors. Hell, look at the registry sets. Really? Lets rate those who can afford to spend outrageous $ on coins? To know who is best? Why?

That even the average middle class person would want a nice collection? People who dont have the time to search? Almost ever price listed is a win for me if I was to sell them. I enjoy the hunt immensely. And who is to say I wont find MS66+ when there is only 2 ever graded by PCGS at that grade? Or even better a 67? Thats all it takes is 1. Didn't the last 1992 close AM get found in a take a penny leave a penny dish at a gas station?

But back to my $ spent. Even without selling at this point I am up. But it is a penny. Like I know that the floating roofs aren't worth anything to you, maybe, but maybe there's a guy out there who just found out about them. He decides that he wants to collect them. He hasn't been able to find one. Now, he's on eBay and he sees one for five bucks? well then it saves him a lot of trouble.

People make mistakes all day everyday. that's why these coins are let out into the population, because somebody made a mistake and let it go by. There are so many people who don't have a clue about coins who are inheriting coin collections left and right. I'm not talking about looking for those. I'm talking about looking for all the other ones, just so somebody else can have it in their collection. to say, "see I have a double die 1955!" granted is it the mega? no but is it still a 1955 double die that they have in their collection, that they can afford. yes, you got to look at the individual okay ? and y'all come from a different breed y'all are on a different level than what I'm talking about. you have money to spend on the coins and you're looking for a certain high $ ones. why ?? because they're rare and popular. well good luck with that! see how likely you are to finish your collection with your financial means looking at those Mac Daddy coins that everybody wants versus the the little man over here who could be satisfied with something similar or near it that he can afford. there's more of those people than there are your kind of people. Those are the people I want to appeal to. but I got to get good at identifying, recognizing, knowing the definitions, learning the coins, and I'm using these coin roll hunting that I'm doing to help teach myself.

Not to mention my great nieces who are 1 & 2 years old. I'm compiling a collection for the both of them and I want to include everything, so that they have a total collection of just very cool coins.

now everything I just said the $9.99 that I spent to you really think it's all that bad?[/QUOTE]
