same box as the Geo. W. Carver coin and the only coins this box yielded but wow! So the last couple bags had 2 2002-S this 1972-S and the G. W. Carver. And they all came out of bags of rolls previously searched by silver hunters. Hmm.
Very nice find and in good condition too! Surprising someone would use this coin for face value, seeing that 50 cents does not buy anything today. I once found a 1987 proof in a single half dollar roll. I also hate it when you get this mess after asking for half dollars. Inconsiderate that the silver searchers couldn't re-wrap the rolls.
Agreed. Surprising the bank accepted them that way. My only guess is someone has a connection that us mere mortals don’t have
