So I purchased a variety of bars and rounds at a local shop over the weekend and in included were some Credit Suisse 5g Silver and 10g silver bars still fresh in there original plastic. So when I got home just out sh*ts and giggles I went on ebay to see what they where going for and I found a couple of the 10g bars going for around $40. That leads to my question Are the credit suisse bars really that collectable or are the people buying them really that bad at simple math?

    Whats your take?

For whatever reason they are highly collectible. I guess people just like the design and packaging. You can't buy one of their 1 oz bars for less than $50+ on ebay, regardless of what silver's doing. If you were able to pick those up at melt, you did really good.

$1.50 per OZ. over spot :D When I saw what they were going for I nearly fell out of my chair!

Yes, credit suisse, pamp Suisse, and Johnson Matthey all sell for a huge premium. They're highly collectible, very nice buys!

I think if there's enough people that really bad at simple math that they can become collectables lol

  7. I like the design on the 1 ounce pamp suisse silver bars. TC
