Which is a followup to the OP. I think most of us are aware of this, but my point of concern which follows it is that if this type of result will pressure the Swiss, or whomever you trot out, will be forced to bend - crudely, if you put 50k on the table for "converting" just one coin to slab who really can ignore? Even if they choose not to go along there will be market forces at work even indirectly to push them that way as it would then make it worthwhile to make the trip to Europe (or via the internet virtually which still may not be good enough) to purchase more and more of these coins and then slab and then resell them. The point remains, and you actually highlighted it, that this was an example of an obscene price comparatively independent of "relative values" to the US market, a point I already addressed.
