    The coin looks to be a copy of an Athens Tetradrachm.

    Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the chain is fake as well! It's amazing how some sellers on CL are complete dummies and they think everyone reading their ad is more stupid than they are! :D

    From that picture, the only clue I would have that it is fake is the roundness of the holder. Most Athenian tets are not very round, and are extremely thick.

    Edit: I take that back. Blowing it up shows other guveaways...

    My favorite recent one in my area is a guy asking $30 for a 1942 dime. I called him up and told him it was worth about 20X face. He then asked me how much I would give him and when I answered $2, he kind of huffed and hung up.
