Australia Bahamas Barbados British Caribbean Territories Bermuda Britain Canada Dominican Republic Ecuador Germany Great Britain Greece (Euro) Hong Kong Ireland Italy Korea Mexico Norway Panama Philippines Russia Singapore South Africa Spain Switzerland UAR USSR Zambia I have pile of foreign coins I found CRH. I will go through them now. Another foreign coin I found: British Five Pence I added the new countries to the list. Really cool thread.
I'm going through my pile of coins found in rolls. I stopped keeping Canada dimes that I find so I leave them in the roll. Panama was the only country I found that I did not already state and someone else found it too. I got some other foreign coins from the Constar reject tray. I do not think they count though but I will say them for fun. Here are my two favorite coinstar coins Tasalvalta Republica Srbija (that this is how it's spelled)
With due respect to coinman1234 I will not be adding CoinStar rejects to the list, but thanks for the Republica Srbija note. Up to 26...looks like I may have been a bit optimistic with my estimate of 50! The refreshed list: Australia Bahamas Barbados Bermuda British Caribbean Territories Canada Dominican Republic Ecuador Germany Great Britain Greece (Euro) Hong Kong Ireland Italy Korea Mexico Norway Panama Philippines Russia Singapore South Africa Spain Switzerland UAR Zambia
Sorry, I didn't include USSR in the updated, alphabetical list. I also removed Britain in deference to Great Britain. 27 so far... Australia Bahamas Barbados Bermuda British Caribbean Territories Canada Dominican Republic Ecuador Germany Great Britain Greece (Euro) Hong Kong Ireland Italy Korea Mexico Norway Panama Philippines Russia Singapore South Africa Spain Switzerland UAR USSR Zambia
I find a lot of Canadian coins. I live in Wisconsin and have probably found close to $3 in Canadian coins, but I have only found 1 peso. I wonder if people in texas or other southern states find more Mexican currency than Canadian? Or if the Canadian currency is more common since it looks similar to US Coins. I also found this Icelandic Krona. I am a huge fisherman so I really like the art on it, I hear they are really worthless though haha. Kind of neat though. So I guess I have only found: Canadian Mexican Iceland
Well we've made it to 29...someone out there can get us to 30, don't ya think? Australia Bahamas Barbados Bermuda British Caribbean Territories Canada Dominican Republic Ecuador Finland Germany Great Britain Greece (Euro) Hong Kong Iceland Ireland Italy Korea Mexico Norway Panama Philippines Russia Singapore South Africa Spain Switzerland UAR USSR Zambia
In terms of monetary value, yes. Then again, the list posted here says "Greece (Euro)" but simply "Italy". Assuming that the latter refers to lira coinage, that would have a monetary value of precisely zero. Same with "USSR". But I agree, that 1 krona coin is neat. Christian
I am sorry if this one was already listed. I just want to help get to 30! I am at work so I can't really do research on it, but my brother found this in a box of nickels. He said it was from some island but couldn't remember what it was. Again, sorry if it was already listed. It's got some pretty art on it
"Does a St Jude Medallion count?" Hmm, what country would that be? And where would it be legal tender? I don't seem to find the country of St. Jude on any recent map, at least not this planet. I guess we'll have to pass.
I found a Japanese 1 yen in a a nickel roll just the other day. I've also found a a 1944(?) Curacao 1c. I know there are others but those are the 2 I can think of that aren't on the list at the moment.
Germany (Euro), Spain (Euro), Italy (Euro), France (Euro), France (Franc), Missouri (sales tax token), Austria, Chuck E Cheese, Switzerland, and NORFED. Also, a Cuban coin i got for free from a teller (does that count?)
