No they aren’t getting the holders right to the T, they’ve yet to get it completely right actually

    Agree.
    Titanium density= 4.506 g/cm³
Gold density = 19.32 grams per cubic centimeter
Tungsten density=19.3 grams per cubic centimeter

As for the North Korean super note, I think that was the old large head, before the colors and newer security measures.

Its probably smart to ONLY secure your coins via legitimite Auction Houses like Stacks/Bowers, Heritage, Kunker, Baldwins/St. James, Elsens, CNG etc.:cat: And stay as far away from E-bay as possible;)! They are all on sixbid site, except for Elsen.

Your correct l did mean Tungsten, l dont recall the year of the St Gaudens coin but the article I read indicated both the coin and the holder were so identical to the real thing it was unbelievable that it was a counterfeit coin. Not many people will spend $1,300 on a coin and then tear open the plastic holder and test the coin for weight-Dimensions- color and composition. The point I was making if NK has the will and expertise to counterfeiting our hundred dollar bills and they're using the same: cotton/linen paper, special ink that no one in the world but the U.S. is supposed to have and one of only three printers in the world, we use the other two to print our money never knew where the third one was but North Korea obviously has it. If they will go to the trouble to counterfeit a $100 bill why wouldn't they counterfeit a $1400 coin and duplicate a plastic holder which takes little or no skill whatsoever. Whos going to open their holder to "RING" test the coin and lower the value. The coin that turned up as being counterfeited was in a "CERTIFIED HOLDER" that was damaged in a house fire otherwise the scam would have gone on undetected. Its sad but very little skill is require to duplicate the coin and holder compared to a US $100 bill that was so perfect that only the Treasury Department could identify the bill by recognizing that NK failed to duplicate our 3 flaws. There are You Tube videos showing counterfeited US coins that are only recognized by excess weight. The North Koreans are technologically advanced and have the will to undermine our economy any way possible. There is a web AUCTION COMPANY that repeatedly auctions items using the term "seized" to give the impression they are items confiscated by US Law enforcement. Many items are repeat jewlery and although claimed to have an extremely high appraised value they are in fact junk manufactured in China and sold at a price that is by far in excess of their actual value. Many St Gaudens coins are sold on the site and in my opinion should be carefully tested b4 bought. The authentic and counterfeit coins sound different when struck for ring tone. All I'm saying is don't be so confident the coin you buy is in fact authentic just because it's in what appears to be a genuine "PCGS" coin holder. These may be sold on "Trutworthy" auction sites also because the owner didn't know the item was a counterfit. Hell 5 star museums have spent $millions on art only to discover after years of proudly displaying the work that it was a forgery.
Im curious as to how you would know they haven't duplicated the holder to a "T", if its perfect there IS NO WAY!! only a poor fake can be identified ...the similar holders sold on ebay are possibly made with differences to mislead. Thats why l say (possibly) instead of stating it as a fact..... if its indeed a 100% perfect duplication there is no way to differentiate between the two holders ..just sayin.!!

You should check the date on that article in regards to the North Korean super note.

Because 100 dollar bills are what was keeping their country going and financing their economy. They printed them and used them. Selling fake products is much much more work. It's the old bills they had the supernotes for why would they bother making fake goods when they can literally print money. Now that the bills have changed they have switched to hacking banks and cryptocurrencies.

You don't have too. The fake holders can be spotted by their discrepancies and they are overwhelming the same generation. The part people forget is that the people making the fake holders sell them cheap which is the only way scammers will buy them. They don't have the incentive or really the ability to perfectly copy holders. It's the scammers that are trying to make a huge profit off the fake holders.

If you want to be ultra paranoid stick to PCGS gold shield holders, it's impossible to fake that with the trueviews

One of the downfalls of the internet is that we can often work ourselves up into a frenzy over nothing or discover something that we think just became a threat that will change everything when that has been happening for years/decades.

Sorry but your mistaken, watch the documentary on American Greed. Counterfeited $100 bills were caught during a "IMPORTED FAKE GOODS" sting by our Feds who after being unable to identify them as counterfeit showed them to the Treasury Department. They were only recognized after extensive study. $1,000,000 worth of counterfeited bills were offered for $750,000. North Korea would do this to undermine our economy due to their hatred. North Korea does not now nor have they ever used US bills as their currance. Some US bills circulate in almost every country in the world but that doesn't mean they have adopted them as their currency. The poorly produced coin holders sold on ebay are not the holders in question. If you care to believe no one can or would care to duplicate the plastic PCGS Holders, GOLD or otherwise then go for it.

The dispersal of these bogus $100 bills have been identified in numerous non US countries. The discontinuation of US currency and the PETRODOLLAR as the world standard is just around the corner. The trust of the US dollar is gone and the belief that Fort Knox is storing as much gold as claimed is doubted my many countries. These are all tactics being used to defeat the US thru destruction of trust. Im neither worked into a frenzy nor paranoid, just aware of the ability of other countries to perform product design and production of goods as well as the USA when given the initiative.

You need to do a lot more research on economics my friend. You gave the answer of what they were doing with it later in your post to make themselves money they desperately need.

No it's not, not even close.

The Fort Knox gold is completely irrelevant and has absolutely 0 impact on the dollar.

Back to the original topic. I really don’t think anyone should consider buying a gold coin or any key or better date from anyone who is not a recognizably trustworthy dealer.

They can't with the gold shield, its for all intensive purposes impossible. They would have to get the holder perfect which they can't do right now, and more importantly they would have to have a perfect match to the coin inside with every detail/every mark/the toning ect that perfectly matches the high resolution photo

Blaine is out of his mind..., for the most part. Yes, fake gold coins AND fake slabs are out there and getting BETTER all the time. With each passing year, the legit dealers are getting more and more freaked out by how good they are. I've BEEN INSIDE THEIR MEETINGS where they say what they WON'T say in public, because they want to keep up the LIE that investing in gold is safe. The wholesale gold dealer, umm, cartel, cares about ONE THING AND ONE THING only. Keeping bullion eligible for inclusion in IRA's! If they lose that, the market collapses then and there.

Blaine DOES underestimate the detection skills of the REAL experts, but the fakes ALREADY are kicking the butts of the casual.

Where Blaine's just plain NUTZOID is if he believes the dollar's run as the de facto world reserve currency is in danger. It. Is. Not. The dollar has WAAAAAAAY longer to run than Blaine does, for absolute CERTAIN. Fort Knox is completely fine, and even if it weren't, it wouldn't matter a lick, as "base" implied. The nexus between gold and currency matters ceased to exist anywhere other than in people's warped imaginations in 1971. That was entire POINT of what Nixon did with the gold exchange window in '71.

That would be interesting to know what percentage of sales end up in those

By the way, copying holders is the new "game". Both major TPGS's are adding counterfeit detection features to their plastic that they don't even talk about INSIDE those meetings.

It's been around at least several years but yea PCGS and NGC are keeping somethings to themselves with their holders now. I have little doubt it was a major driving force in the aggressive redesigns PCGS has been doing the last couple years
