The coin was plated or covered with a silvery material at one point to give it the appearance of a genuine silver coin but most of that material has worn away. This silvery material is still evident in many places, especially on the reverse. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The font of the lettering appears all wrong, especially on the obverse in the motto &#039;IN GOD WE TRVST&#039;. I am no expert on Peace Dollars but the lettering appears more bold (higher relief) than on a genuine Peace Dollar (except, perhaps, the 1921 High Relief). The details in Liberty are lacking.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The coin has three rims on the obverse and one, really wide rim on the reverse.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In case you missed it, this coin is a FAKE![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
