Beyond the obvious date/mm there is also the bubbly surface of the coin. The seller has hidden in the description that its fake, but its listed category wise as a genuine coin, which is devious imo. either way this garbage should be taken down. can we get some help in regards to this listing? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1896-CC-MORGAN-SILVER-DOLLAR-pourri-COIN-227/363261349216?hash=item5494104d60:g:GrEAAOSwls9f~78u
I mean, the seller clearly states that its a fake, gag, copy, not silver.... It isn't marked as such, and the title makes no mentions of it. I realize most people don't read the description. But at least the seller is clear about it in the description.
I've put it into a counterfeit group for confirmation, hopefully it will be shut down before it closes. (One of the members of the counterfeit group has direct contacts within eBAy and can get it shut down)
Oh, I definitely agree. I submitted a report to Ebay. But, I'm giving the seller credit for being honest that it's fake (even if he could make it clearer) - and that's a good sight better than most sellers will do.
