Counter stamped mercury dime

    Thanks for all of the info everyone has given. Much appreciated. I think I will put my double stamped dime in my car for now, hoping it may give me good luck in my daily travels. Thanks again. I have a few other coins that I don't know much about. I will take earlier advice and post a new thread on those.

    No luck so far, on the cutlery angle.

    This "U S anchor" may well be a trademark that was applied to some product(s). I doubt that it's directly connected to the US Government. Since all of the host coins are Mercury Dimes, the product line may be dated to the mid-1940's and possibly made of silver (jeweler or silversmith?).
