Could use your opinion on the price of a cheap coin I am thinking of buying.

Hi All. Do you think $20.00 shipped for this proof Eisenhower is fair. As you can tell, I have to collect on the cheaper side of the hobby. Is the holder worth anything extra since it is older? Thanks for your opinions.

Leave it in that slabbed holder. Some people like those older PCGS slab holders.

 

I do like that specimen, & although it's an Ike (I don't "collect" them), I would probably spend the $20. Nice old holder as well!

 

$20 is a decent price.

It is an older holder that some people like and looks to be cameo or DCAM (I’m not certain, but I believe this generation of holder was before PCGS would designate Ikes with CAM/DCAM). The holder may add a small premium (for this coin around $5).

You could find newer holders that are 68 Dcam or 69 Dcam in the same $15-$20 range (at auction).

 

That's a fair price for silver (40%) Ike in that grade.

 

if I wanted it for my collection I'd buy it!
