Could this be a Capped Die?

Found this Nickel, nothing readable on it, so I assumed it was just worn to death, but something looked strange about it to me......On closer inspection, the edges look like a lamination error of some sort. The rims seem high and somebody suggested it could be a Capped die. I would appreciate any opinions.
Nothing around the edge is readable, and the part of MONTICELLO that can be seen are really spread. capped.jpg

That looks like a dryer coin.

A struck through capped die coin should show a completely good strike on one side.

Definitely a dryer coin effect. Not a capped die at all.
There are different degrees of damage according to length of time in dryer.. 20130305_Dryer_Coin_Lot_1_pic2.jpg

I think someone here posted a You Tube video about a guy who did dryer repairs and all of the odd stuff, including coins he found with varying degrees of the dryer coin effect.
