Picked up a couple of the new Predator Series coins from the Royal Canadian Mint. 1st issue is the cougar. Got these from Silver.com - Impressed with the quality of them as BU silver coins from other bullion companies I have bought from sometimes have small imperfections like pin prick type marks, and price was decent and shipping was fast! Nice looking coins especially if you like big cats, should display nicely with the birds of prey series I have. (airtites were extra)
Really most everything you buy is cost prohibitive - appliances, lawn equipment, clothing, cars, etc. So really an 18$ coin that will always be there and doesn't have to be junked to get a new one to replace it ain't so bad.
I bought one from JM Bullion on an order I placed. It was OK and try to buy one of each predator. Of course Chris will tell you it is just bullion & only worth spot. Now the new Kanga bullion was nice & less money. A much better looking bullion. To finish this reply...it was side tracked by my new step mom returning my call. New as about 6 months ago. We met at my grandmothers funeral(she was 95). Called my new step mom to let her know that I was wrong for completely trashing govmint. They do have the best deal going on ASE's right now & have been for the last few weeks. My Mom placed an order today as well for those eagles at that price. But the BEST bullion coin out there this year is the Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle (again)! Govmint (I hate them) is the only bullion dealer that has them as far as I have seen. Maybe whats his name from MCM is going to make govmint a better company. It certainly coudln't be any worse then it used to be. Talking just bullion.
Nice pick ups Markus , I like RCM products . I have the first wildlife series . But one to be on the look out for is this one .I had a sheet of ten from the RCM now down to 2. I sold a few and also gave a few away as gifts. The 2006 half ounce silver wolf only minted 1 year only 106,000 minted. It was the same design by Susanna Blunt used on the wildlife series done later in 1 oz coins. They were issued in sheets of ten mylar pouches. This was supposed to be the beginning of the wild life series . But for some unknown reason they scraped the 1/2 coins and went to 1 oz size.
Of course you know Markus, there was a big debate a few years ago about the color of the ring you have in the "air tight", black vs. white .....& of course all the chemical reactions. Two mods weighed in heavily. & if you disagreed ya got a wornin' Where has Doug been?
Yeah, the wolfs are really nice but just bullion. I am sure a real collector will chime in soon & let you, us know.
However they are bringing 29-35 $ each on the bay. And another funny fact in Chariton they are mis listed. Listed as 2005 and 2006 only 2006 were minted and yes bullion finish
Any whoo, get to govmint & grab those wedge tailed eagles.. Any problem with buying a bullion that looks reverse proof?
