Corrosion or casting bubbles?

    I can't answer your question with any certainty, but I have a coin I've shown before with similar corrosion which has been guaranteed authentic by Harlan J. Berk.

    While not sharing the same dies/legend as your coin's obverse, the portraits are similar. Same celator?

    Can't say on the pitting and I'm not an expert by any means, but the raised bumps in front of the ear(side burns?) and attached to/above the letter 'G' and 'L' on your coin give me pause.

    The squashed 'boxer's nose' seems pretty pronounced on your coin. Granted it is a provincial issue.
