    From my collection. A one ounce .999 fine copper round. It was made for the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the luxury liner. It is dated April 15, 1912. A beautifully designed piece and still bright red as the day it was minted.

    My dad worked to restore the USS Constalation in Baltimore when he was young. They made coins (tokens) like yours from metal parts of the ship. One of the things they did was melt the cannons down. Today, the ship is still docked in Baltimore’s harbor and the cannons are all plastic.
