    Congrats on getting the coin in your change that was (high probability) part of either a junior high school science experiment and/or latchkey kids after school form of self-entertainment. Though it is rare to get one of these in your change, but not for the reason we'd like it to be.

    Yes, it can, but it’s highly unusual and is really only seen on Mint State coins. The detailed picture, which dhows the holes in the toning, makes me think it’s not natural.
