I think that depends on whether you think pigs are beautiful. I really like pigs and I think the colors and the setting are nice in the picture. I also like the Chinese characters and the bamboo border. Now, if you turn it over and have to look at her majesty's pouting mug, then I might agree with you.....................
gotta say...'ewww...' but coin tastes vary and IMO there is no wrong or right...you likes what you likes...
Fine looking coin being an old hog farmer myself. I have a sugestion for a really neat coin that would light a fire under Osama. An English sovereign with Salman Rushdie on the obverse and Arnold (from the comedy sixties TV show Green Acres) on the reverse.
I should add that if it also "smells" like a pig, then really really cool. Creating an extra dimension to attract more to the fine art of numismatics!
Ok, this thread sat dormant for two years until yesterday, when the poster above me revived it. OTOH, I'm new to the forum and hadn't seen it before. Alwayslost, THAT WAS FUNNY!!!
Alas, it does not smell like a pig, or like bacon. That's probably a good thing. The picture of the pig is actually the reverse. The obverse is the usual boring picture of QE II.
