I am being forced to post this, I want this coin because my significant other of 20+ years wants me to win it for her. She ( Debbie ) has been diagnosed with small cell carcinoma. An incurable cancer that is taking her away from me. Dr. has given her about six months, give or take, and she wants me to win this coin. I would never lie or even joke about something like this, so please believe me, it is the truth. I don't know if its even fair to others vying for the coin, but what she wants from me, she gets. I would rather win with my other entries than play a guilt card on you, but she asked me so I do it. I could provide proof if necessary, but I assure you that I am not lying. Thanks.

I am a YN (13), and I am becoming interested in ancient coins. I bought a Constantine the Great at a coin show for $7 and I really like it! I would like to own this coin to expand on my very small ancient coin collection.

In addition, I think John should also win the coin for his significant other. I feel so bad for him.

I'm not as experienced as some of the vets around here, so I'll refrain from recommending any specific sellers and let them jump in if they want, but the conventional wisdom is that sellers on Vcoins.com are a safe bet. They're more expensive than ebay, but that's the tax you pay for civilization.

Otherwise, hang out here, listen to the vets, and learn what's what. It's super rewarding and makes the coins more than just old hunks of metal.

Too many great posts, I'm going to go via the random method and just add everyone's name to strips of paper, and spin them in my bingo spin cage and see which one comes out in the draw...yes, I have a Bingo set...don't judge.

I can sympathize buddy. My wife and I have been married for just under 49 years. She has been very sick for the past 4-5 years. Sometimes when I'm lying awake at night, I think how lost I would be without her. Good luck to both of you.

 

Thank you so much for your kind words. I also don't know what I am going to do when the time comes. My world is falling apart right now and my best attempts at keeping it together are failing. My attempts to keep myself distracted are fleeting. She is on her 5th type of chemotherapy now. The Dr. has not giving us much hope. He said if she ever wants to do something, now is the time. We have a vacation planned, but it depends on how she feels. All we can do is pray for a miracle. Thanks again.
