Cool toned gold

    Cool, I didn't think gold toned since it was inert. Must be the copper in the alloy.

    Gold is always gold. Gold doesn't "tone" or turn green. Something else in that alloy.

    Contrary to popular opinion, gold does tone. Even .999 gold.

    love that constitution commem. toned gold is one thing you dont see much of.

    Love the toned gold, looks awesome!!!

    Gold isn't inert. It's less reactive than other metals...but it is reactive and does tone.

    dissolve gold. Also cyanide and mercury.

    the color on those is great!!

    i actually bought that constitution commem from the mint in 1987, i thought the design was cool.
    dont remember what i bought it for exactly, mine didnt tone at all.
    it's a small coin with only 1/4 ounce of gold in it (sort of wish they made the coin bigger so i could see the design better)

    Sorry, I dont understand what you are implying. Aare you implying that the gold is dissolving?
