I don't have anything controversial unless this coin applies to people who don't believe in religion. But really I would rather be a paratrooper then a soldier storming the beach for sure, this even might of gotten them through the campaign as hope lived.

I collect old German medals, with a focus on iron crosses. Most of them are from WW1 but i have a few from WW2, and a couple of the de-nazified versions made available to veterans after the war. The original WW2 medals display upside down in my collection, i think they're necessary for historical continuity but don't want them swastika side up IMG_20230802_192857723_HDR.jpg IMG_20230802_192907440_HDR.jpg

I love history (I have a degree in it) and one thing that appeals to me about coins is when there's a clear link to a prominent historical person or moment. That means I'm interested in coins with the Swastika, Napoleon, Stalin, occupation coins, things like that. It's not a special focus or anything but I do appreciate them as historical items. It kind of puts you in the moment. I'm not sure if there's anything I would draw the line at. Probably of the things mentioned the KKK stuff holds the least interest.
