I got all excited and showed everyone and my interest just grew from there. I&#039;d like to think that now I know a good chunk of information about the hobby, but definitely not an expert. I actually started a coin club at my library, and we have a solid 5 members (it may not seem like a lot, but young kids aren&#039;t interested in coins!!!). It&#039;s just so fun to teach them about numismatics and see their faces light up when i bring in a new coin. Sometimes we will roll search together, and ill just give everyone what we find (usually only wheaties because that&#039;s all we find). I usually raffle something off each class for them, usually something i found roll searching. Anyway enough about the coin club. I also try to help out people on CoinTalk, that counts as being in the numismatic community right!? I stay in the hobby because it is the greatest hobby. I love finding &quot;rare&quot; coins in my change or roll hunting. I also stay because my grandfather used to collect (i never got to meet him though) and i want his collection taken care of (meaning i don&#039;t want to hide it away in the basement where it isn&#039;t appreciated).</p><p>I feel like the hobby in the future will be smaller. Again we are moving toward a cashless society, and without cash the hobby will &quot;die out&quot;. I really hope it doesn&#039;t happen though, this hobby is too fun!
