I inherited about 200 bills from my grandparents (when I was younger) and my mother (more recently): 1935 and 1957 SCs....some 1963 USNs and FRNs....1976 $2 bills. Nothing really valuable, pretty much worth Face Value except for a few where it might be 5-10x FV. I have about 50 of them in individual sleeves (the Best Ones ) and the rest are in those 4-pockets-to-a-page sleeves and these are definitely circulated and worn with a few exceptions. I've never submitted bills or coins so I thought I might submit these. It's more for sentimental reasons to preserve and protect the bills even though they aren't worth much (unless I have a rare serial block I'm unaware of). I think some of the bills were given to me by my grandparents in the 1970's so there's that angle to preserve them. Anyway....here's the 49 bills I have for submission. WCM stands for Well Centered Margins (not saying PERFECT but they don't stand out as "off" at 1st glance).....OK CM is OK Centered Margins; you can tell at least 1 of the margins is different from the others, so a step down from WCM. All bills are $1 face except for the 1963 USN's which are $5 and the $2 bills: 1963 USN: pretty well-centered margins (WCM) but 2-3 very visible folds. 1963 USN: WCM, 2-3 folds, 2 creases in bill that look like ridges on front 1963 USN: WCM, 2-3 folds, crease in middle 1935A SC: WCM 1935E SC: OK CM....front paper looks wornish 1935F SC: Mediocre CMs....paper has wrinkles...elevated creases on front...discoloration...rounded corners. 1957B SC: WCM...one of the top bills 1957 SC: OK CM.... 1957 SC: Off-CM....1 corner might be not razor-sharp 1957B SC: OK CM..... 1957B SC: OK CM..... 1957B SC: OK CM.....a few folds and what looks like 1 "soft" corner 1957B SC: WCM.... 1957B SC: OK CM..... 1957B SC WCM...... 1957B SC: OK CM....some folds on front; 1 visible center crease on back 1957B SC: OK CM....could be 1" fold or crease in lower left back of bill across "1/One" 1957B SC: WCM......really pristine bill to the naked eye. 1957B SC: WCM.....pristine bill 1957B SC: WCM....pristine bill 1957B SC: Off-CM.....otherwise nice (sequential 4-some) 1957B SC: Off-CM.....otherwise nice 1957B SC: Off-CM.....otherwise nice 1957B SC: Off-CM.....otherwise nice 1963B FRN: WCM.......pristine bill 1963B FRN: WCM.......pristine bill 1963B FRN: WCM.......pristine bill 1957B SC: WCM........clean bill (2 bill sequence) 1957B SC: WCM........clean bill 1957B SC: WCM......some front discoloration, 2-3 wave folds 1957B SC: WCM......STAR.....clean bill (4 Star Sequential bills) 1957B SC: WCM......STAR.....clean bill 1957B SC: WCM......STAR.....clean bill 1957B SC: WCM......STAR.....clean bill 1957A SC: OK-CM......crease in middle front 1957A SC: OK-CM......discoloration front right side from tape/band...some wave folds on front near middle of bill...corners beginning to round 1957A SC: OK-CM......circulated....crease and folds....rounded corners 1963B FRN: OK-CM......some folds or creases visible on front....beginning of rounded corners....wrinkles 1957B SC: OK-CM......clean bill 1957B SC: OK-CM.....some folds/creases and wrinkles on face and back 1957B SC: OK-CM......folds, wrinkles, crease(s)....bent edges...circulated 1957B SC: OK-CM......discoloration left face....wrinkles and folds...looks circulated 1957B SC: OK-CM......discoloration on left face...red stamp....2-3 folds...wrinkles 1957B SC: OK-CM......crease in face middle.....folds and wrinkles...rounded corners beginning 1976 $2 FRN OK-CM....mediocre margins April 13th 1976 Red Circular Stamp + Louisiana 13 cents stamp 1976 $2 FRN OK-CM....April 13th 1976 Red Circular Stamp + Indiana 13 cents stamp 1976 $2 FRN: WCM.....3 sequential bills 1976 $2 FRN: WCM 1976 $2 FRN: WCM I can probably take some hig-res pics of them in groups later this month but I am leaning to a diverse selection for submission: the Star Notes...the Best 1957's.....maybe the best 1935 (these are more worn/circulated, not pristine notes at 1st glance)....etc. Figuring I want to keep total spending to about $300 I figure 10-15 bills is what I might submit. Any thoughts on what bills to definitely consider or throw out...or to look for any Serial Number Blocks that might add to value...let me know.
