conscience vs desire

I am not feeling that badly now for I suspect my posting here got some people looking through EBay for the second medal. Yesterday, I was the only person watching it, and today nine people are. The second medal also received a bid prior to mine. Maybe this is a win win situation. I bought the medal I really wanted, and the increased watchers will give the seller a more honest end price for the second medal.

So he's telling a sad story that may arouse sympathy in his bidders, and get them to bid higher. It may be a true story, or it may not. I would try not to let it sway my bidding.
