Not my area of expertise, but it seems from the catalogues as if the term Kurush was used in Turkey, while Piastre was used across the rest of the Ottoman Empire. The value was the same.
Schlumberger list these as Piastres/ Friedberg same. The Egyptian (Ottoman) same. Some auctions use Qirsh (Egypt) Kurus (Turkey)
Yes, I am thinking about buying a Turkish Republic 100 or 500 Kurush gold coin of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
And after looking at dozens of them (and also some other modern Turkish gold coins), I have decided against buying one, because every single one of them has some issue I find unacceptable, which would indicate that modern Turkey has poor minting.
I have the complete Ataturk Deluxe and Standard 25K-500K Also 3 standard Inonu 25/50/ 100K And 2 1926-29 Issue 25K /50K I like the"Deluxe" 1926-29
Mine from Kemal are all from 1970/71/72. I bought both deluxe and standard 5 coin series. I have three from Inonü standrad series/ no deluxe. My fav. Republic are the Deluxe series 1926-29. Standard I have 25K and 50K all very low mintage. I want to get the Ottoman 500/ 250Kurüs from Mehmet VI/ V Abdul Hamid II.
The other one is supposedly available in this rather suspicious listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175421647141
