Heck, I can't even keep track of them all, esp with all the Morgan and Peace retros. Didn't they issue an ASE 2021-W Type-1 Unc...? Thought I missed it but maybe not.

Different mints are different ones but also there was a design change this year so you got one of each on them. It was the first big design change for them and a unique year

$$$$ for the Mint, which has become increasingly interested in maximizing its income than providing service to collectors. I would have liked to have purchased a plain, old Proof coin with the second or new reverse, but that won't be possible this year unless I pay a profit to a dealer who has one in stock.

The price will probably come down in a couple of years, and the coin should be easier to buy from the mint next year. But who knows what games the mint play when it sells these coins on 2022.

It's a no win situation for the mint. With the design change if they just did one or the other people would complain they didn't do the other and if they do both some people say its a money grab. No matter what they do they will be accused of something

Doing both designs was the right move and its a unique year for the amount of product. Next year or in a couple years people will probably be complaining there isnt enough variety

Not so sure why people get mad over them. Most of the time you can buy multiples, flip the multiples, and keep one for yourself. You are basically being payed to take one.

Or you can cash out and make a couple hundred bucks with each mint issue.

I personally think it is too much, but, people are looking for stuff that is unique, or at least scarce. And, they want to be the first to have one.
BTW you may have missed a few.

By the time I logged in, the Proofs were gone. If they made any "reverse Proofs," I don't want one. I think that they are ugly.

@Beedles I believe your item number 6 is redundant. These two coins may have been available singly. I am not positive thought.

All I have heard for the past year plus is that the Mint can't get enough silver blanks for the Eagle program. Then they limit the sales on these but can set a limit of 400,000 on new commemoratives, even though sales are very low overall. I wonder what would happen if all of a sudden, everyone took an interest in commemoratives and ordered the whole 400K limit. Think what's going on with these is bad, think what would happen then.

Congress sets the commemoratives limits and what they have to be not the mint

The ASEs in the limited edition proof set are the same ones that were offered as singles. I got the Ws right away but still waiting on the S. They've been backordered for a month. Makes me wonder if the limited edition set will be delayed due to no S proofs.

I didn’t even need to click the play button, and now that song is playing inside my head- cash register sound effects, catchy bass line, and all.

I don’t mind, in this case. Great album.

Pink Floyd as an earworm is vastly preferable to some ad jingle.

Is back when the mint 1st started playing games, I mean when they started offering special finishes and mint marks, there was a long thread across the street - not in those sites owned by one of the TPG's but that other one - 2017 maybe, over exactly how many different coins the mint was offering versus different sales opportunities.

I think this year is an obvious exception to normal years since they changed to the T2 design so they decided to make proofs of both design for collectors who want both.
