"concentric circles"??

    Anybody know what these circles are on the obverse?

    That happens to modern US coins that are at the ends of rolls, but this is a chilean coin from 1920, so i don't know...

    edit: but then again, when i zoom in, those looked raised, not cut into the coin surface... so idk again

    Usually, I would say die cracks, but there are so many I am finding it hard to imagine. I'm wondering if they could be polish marks on the die.
